Dana Bune
Graduated in 1982 from the famous Ballard Beauty School, Seattle, Washington (famous to locals). Trained by a Vidal Sassoon educator during her school career, Dana honed her skills as a precision hair cutter. Her passion truly was and is for color, she has profesionally trained with Framesi international, Wella/Sebastian, Loreal Company, and numerous others. She and her husband, and two sons, moved to the San Juan Islands 12 years ago, aboard their yacht. After a thriving business growth for nine years, she designed from scratch the beautiful Spa d Bune, salon and day spa. With the drive and passion for creativity, she offers a wonderful setting in the heart of the community here. Janie Ogle, Spa Director

With her expertise in business management, sales and marketing, she brings many creative ideas to the spa. ![]() After graduating from Friday Harbor High School, 2006, she moved to Seattle to attend the Gene Juarez Academy. During her school career she learned of her passion for cutting and coloring. Chelsea brings a young, fresh smile to her work, specializing in the latest trends of hair design and color. She has enjoyed bringing her talents back home where she grew up.
Pam Fry, RN
![]() Pam offers High Touch Jin Shin, a therapy using light touch to the acu-point which releases stress and tension. It promotes deep relaxation, relief of pain and many symptoms, as well as an increased ability to cope with stress and feel ease. Pam has been associated with holistic health and healing since 1981. As a critical care nurse since 1978, she sees the value for everyone in utilizing the best aspects of contemporary medicine with complementary holistic therapies. In her practice and in life, her intention is to inspire, demonstrate, and educate others to be empowered in self-responsibility for their greater health and well-being. She combines the skill of assessment, health education, hands-on therapies, and other resources for each session. She also feels humor blended with new perspectives are a valuable aspect of healing and growth. Natalia Lawrence
![]() Trained at the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage and bodywork, Natalia practices a variety of techniques. Educated in Swedish, Shiatsu, Hot Stone Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Hydrotherapy, and Lomi Lomi, Natalia believes and focuses on creating an individual experience for everyone. Much of her passion for bodywork comes from her intuitive nature and care for people. Specializing in a blend of deep tissue and Lomi Lomi. Natalia is eager to learn more about what people need to improve their stress levels and maintain balance and vitality everyday. |
Laura Thomas
![]() A five year island resident, Laura trained at the Le Melange Academy in Napa, California. Learning Micro dermabrasion, Ultra Sonic dermabrasion, galvanic treatments, classic and European facial techniques, and waxing expertise. She also trained at the Dermalogica Institute in Seattle, Washington, increasing her knowledge of skincare and honing her skills. Laura enjoys offering clients the opportunity to take care of their skincare needs. Susan Millington
![]() After a career in nursing, Susan brings years of unique and compassionate experience to the massage therapy practice. Trained at the Brenneke School of Massage, Seattle in 1993, she specializes in relaxation massage which allows her clients to leave behind their busy lives during their treatment. Susan offers hands-on Swedish, La Stone hot/cold stone massage, and Sabai Thai herbal ball treatments integrated into your spa therapy. All of these treatments have proved positive effects for the mind, body and spirit such as the reduction of physical and emotional tension, relief of sore aching muscles and improved mobility. Susan continues to develop new exciting therapies that will help enhance your spa experience. Edward Tucker
![]() Edward Tucker became a licensed massage practitioner in 1996 after completing a 650 hour program at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. The school's main focus was sports massage and rehabilitative massage techniques, but Edward's interests in Eastern theory and techniques helped to round out his training. With his continuing education he has added Deep Tissue Therapy, Lomi Lomi (sacred Hawaiian massage), Jin Shin Acupressure, and Therapeutic Stretching. Edward's personal beliefs are that each body has an innate ability to heal itself. His work is geared to aid in that process by supporting, nurturing, and providing a sanctuary for that healing to occur. He is a mindful and compassionate therapist. He works with each body, in all ranges of health, to meet the needs of the clients comfort level.
Katie Askew
![]() Katie received her formal massage training from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2000/01. She utilizes her massage therapy skills for stress relief, injury care and recovery, chronic tension relief and the promotion of general health. You can expect a quiet atmosphere during Katie's massage as her focus goes into the muscle with her touch. Along with Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic Touch, Sports Massage and Hydrotherapy, her training has included Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Hot Stone Massage, Transpersonal Hypnotherapy and Hakomi. As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, Katie loves working with the muscles and energy of the body. Following a massage treatment, her clients like to say they've "been to the church of Katie". The words tender, loving care go with her.
Annette Crosby
![]() Specializing in skin care and waxing, nails, hair design, and special occasion make-up. Annette moved to the islands full time in 2000 after graduating from Bellingham Beauty School in 1999. She loves the island lifestyle, the beauty, peace, and tranqulity it offers for her and her family. She is committed to a high degree of excellence in her profession. She continues to pursue advance education in all areas of her expertise, to bring on board new skills, and ideas to the spa. |
