Graduated in 1982 from the famous Ballard Beauty School, Seattle, Washington (famous to locals). Trained by a Vidal Sassoon educator during her school career, Dana honed her skills as a precision hair cutter. Her passion truly was and is for color, she has professionally trained with Framesi International, Wella/Sebastian, Loreal Company, and numerous others. She and her husband, and two sons, moved to the San Juan Islands 12 years ago, aboard their yacht. After a thriving business growth for nine years, she designed from scratch the beautiful Spa d’Bune Salon and Day Spa. With the drive and passion for creativity, she offers a wonderful setting in the heart of the community here.

As a critical care nurse since 1978, she sees the value for everyone in utilizing the best aspects of contemporary medicine with complementary holistic therapies. In her practice and in life, her intention is to inspire, demonstrate, and educate others to be empowered in self-responsibility for their greater health and well-being. She combines the skill of assessment, health education, hands-on therapies, and other resources for each session. She also feels humor blended with new perspectives are a valuable aspect of healing and growth.

Kamala Chambers was trained at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the only school to integrate all the various dietary theories and healthier life-style choices. Kamala is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and obtained credits from Purchase College, State University of New York.

Kamala graduated from Earth Walk Institute if Healing Arts, where she became certified as an instructor and practitioner of Vibrational Medicine, Energy Therapy, and Gem Stone Therapy. Kamala teaches workshops and classes, and integrates empowering education into her sessions.

It is best you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to insure a relaxing start to your spa experience. Late arrivals will reduce the time of our treatments, so we do not delay the next client.

To preserve a peaceful experience for everyone, cell phones and pagers must be turned to a vibration. Phones can be used at a break in your appointment in the kitchen or office areas.

We may require a valid credit card at the time of your booking to secure your appointment.

Please honor our 24 hour advance notice cancellation policy. Spa packages require 48 hours notice. No-show appointments will be billed the full service amount.
