Graduated in 1982 from the famous Ballard Beauty School, Seattle, Washington (famous to locals). Trained by a Vidal Sassoon educator during her school career, Dana honed her skills as a precision hair cutter. Her passion truly was and is for color, she has professionally trained with Framesi International, Wella/Sebastian, Loreal Company, and numerous others. She and her husband, and two sons, moved to the San Juan Islands in 1998, aboard their yacht. After a thriving business growth for nine years, she designed from scratch the beautiful Spa d Bune Salon and Day Spa. With the drive and passion for creativity, she offers a wonderful setting in the heart of the community here.

With her expertise in business management, sales and marketing, she brings many creative ideas to the spa. Chelsea makes it a point to stay current with every season’s trends and styles. Her passion comes from helping others look their best and she enjoys working with clients to help bring out their personality and style. Chelsea goes beyond every clients expectations with her pampering scalp treatment, top-of-the-line customer service and individual attention which includes educating clients on the products she utilizes. In addition to styling and coloring hair, she specializes in bridal hair, manicures, pedicures and waxing. She has enjoyed bringing her talents back home where she grew up.

She loves the island lifestyle, the beauty, peace, and tranqulity it offers for her and her family. She is committed to a high degree of excellence in her profession. She continues to pursue advance education in all areas of her expertise, to bring on board new skills, and ideas to the spa.

Katie received her formal massage training from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2000/01. She utilizes her massage therapy skills for stress relief, injury care and recovery, chronic tension relief and the promotion of general health. You can expect a quiet atmosphere during Katie’s massage as her focus goes into the muscle with her touch. Along with Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic Touch, Sports Massage and Hydrotherapy, her training has included Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Hot Stone Massage, Transpersonal Hypnotherapy and Hakomi. As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, Katie loves working with the muscles and energy of the body. Following a massage treatment, her clients like to say they’ve “been to the church of Katie”. The words tender, loving care go with her.

Shawnna’s focus is in razor cutting, curly hair, and she is passionate for all phases of hair coloring.

As a critical care nurse since 1978, she sees the value for everyone in utilizing the best aspects of contemporary medicine with complementary holistic therapies. In her practice and in life, her intention is to inspire, demonstrate, and educate others to be empowered in self-responsibility for their greater health and well-being. She combines the skill of assessment, health education, hands-on therapies, and other resources for each session. She also feels humor blended with new perspectives are a valuable aspect of healing and growth.

Deb has worked in the wellness field since 1992 as a teacher, speaker and writer. She is a former registered counselor with a B.A. in Psychology and holds certification in neuro linguistic programming and hypnotherapy. Deb has been a licensed massage therapist since 1994 and a certified reflexologist since 2004.

She offers touch therapy (reflexology & reflexology massage), “wholistic” health coaching, and a therapeutic collage process called “Inner Journey Collage.” When clients work with Deb, whether through reflexology, reflexology massage or coaching, they receive personalized therapy that can include guided imagery, light trance work, relevant resources, and a wide variety of studio and home activities for deepening their personal development work.

We suggest you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to ensure a relaxing start to your spa experience. Late arrivals will reduce the time of our treatments, so we do not delay the next client.

To preserve a peaceful experience for everyone, cell phones and pagers must be turned to a vibration. Phones can be used at a break in your appointment in the kitchen or office areas.

We may require a valid credit card at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
